The On-Demand infrastructure relies on Amazon’s AWS offer to provide a cost-effective solution to the scalability needs of the platform. Thanks to Amazon’s platform, adding new servers is a simple task.



The above diagram illustrates the general architecture. The Control Center and Administration Backend serves as a manager for the platform. When a new account is created it is associated with a domain name (customer_x.openerp.co.th for example) configured on the DNS server and the domain’s environment is prepared on one of the Worker (database creation, OpenERP server and web client installation). Backups are also configured through the Control Center and Administration Backend and then stored on Amazon S3 which provides a limit-less redundant storage. When accessing a domain,





​As illustrated above, customers’ server, web client and databases are isolated from one another even though they run on the same Worker. For each paid account a dedicated server with a storage capacity of 8 Gb will be configured
